IST leases and rents advanced state-of-the-art pipeline integrity related equipment along with providing training to develop qualified, manufacturer certified personnel to operate the equipment if required.

IST also serves as the technology commercialization 'enabler' for PRCI, its members and the energy pipeline industry. IST supports PRCI's efforts by offering access to funded technologies while at the same time maintaining the necessary quality controls on the qualifications of operators and technicians utilizing the technology.

IST will NOT perform integrity related services except in support of training personnel.

To launch this new offering to the energy pipeline industry, IST is pleased to offer the TELETEST TM Long Range Guided Wave Ultrasonic (LRGWU) technology by leasing the technology and providing support for the use of the units in North America . This tool, developed by The Welding Institute (TWI) and it's wholly owned subsidiary, Plant Integrity Limited was based on R&D funded by PRCI and enables energy pipeline operators to non destructively test pipelines that can not be inspected by alternative technologies such as intelligent pigging or hydrotesting with comparative performance results. The TELETEST TM Long Range Guided Wave Ultrasonic (LRGWU) technology is particularly appropriate for non-piggable High Consequence Areas (HCA's), road or river crossings, cased pipelines, process piping at pump/compressor stations, etc.
